| We get alot of questions
here at Japanese Swords 4 Samurai such as "What
is the BEST katana you have?" Over the years
that had been a tough question to answer due to
all of the spectacular samurai swords we sell but
not any longer.
This
new Paul Chen sword, The Tori Katana, Tori
Xl Katana and Tori XL Light katana, are without
a doubt some of the finest Japanese samurai swords
to ever grace our site.
It all starts
with a masterfully hand crafted blade
which is folded out of ASSAB K120 C Swedish steel.
The polish is done so as to bring out the best hada
(grain pattern) your eyes will ever see on any Japanese
Sword.
The Tori
katana combines truly elegant furniture and
a powder-steel folded blade with the functionality
of our Performance Series. The Tori features a ”Flying
Crane” themed Tsuba and Fuchi/Kashira while the
Menuki are Kabuto or Japanese helmets.
The high quality brown leather
Tsuka-ito is wrapped over black Same. The Saya is
wrapped at the mouth with black-lacquered rattan
and then finished in a textured brown. The Tori
is available in three folded steel cutting blade
profiles and three Iaito blade lengths.
Frequent Cutting / Advanced
Drawing Practice
Our Katana Blades embody the classical design elements
of the most prolific sword design in history. With
their strong Shinogi Zukuri shape that accentuates
the differential heat treatment, these blades are
traditionally proportioned to appeal to the collector
but they will also perform well in general cutting
of hard or soft targets.
